Dear Friends of AHP,
Under a Memorandum of Understanding signed with the International HPTLC Association, we are pleased to feature the contributions of the HPTLC Association intended to help you in your herbal authentication work. AHP was a founding member of the HPTLC Association and has supported the development of numerous of the methods featured in the Association’s Method Collection. AHP believes that HPTLC is one of the most versatile and cost-effective techniques for chemical profiling and identification of plants that is of enormous value to industry and academics. AHP continues to work with the Association in developing new methods. A number of the Association methods were developed for AHP monographs. Other Association methods are always considered for inclusion in AHP monographs in hopes to create uniformity in applying HPTLC to botanicals.
This link https://www.hptlc-association.org/home.cfm takes you directly to the HPTLC Association website where you will need a free registration to get access to the Method Collection, the HPTLC Atlas, and other resources from the Association.
To download a method, simply click on the Latin binomial of the botanical of interest or the title of the method, the method will replicate into your download file for you to save at the location you select. You can also know about methods under development, and various Association members involved in methods development.
The HPTLC Association encourages collaboration so if there is an HPTLC project of interest to you, it is possible to present your validated work to the Association for consideration of inclusion in the Method Collection after the Association review and approval processes. Additionally, if you see that others are working on a botanical of interest to you, there is an opportunity to offer your collaboration.
We hope the work of the HPTLC Association is helpful to you and that these methods will help you navigate your botanical authentication challenges.
Sincerely,
Roy Upton, President
American Herbal Pharmacopoeia
