The American Herbal Pharmacopoeia® (AHP) would like to develop an AHP Monograph and Therapeutic Compendium for Saffron Stigma (Crocus sativus L.), a relatively new introduction to the North American supplement marketplace. Saffron is primarily used for supporting healthy moods and reducing symptoms associated with PMS, but also possesses a broad array of health benefits that are supported by both traditional and modern literature. We believe saffron will become a staple in the health food industry and among integrated health care practitioners and educators should they become aware of its many benefits and the science and history that support its uses. The following pages provide a general budget and sponsorship pledge. We hope you will give this your sincere consideration.
